Once children learn how to learn, nothing is going to narrow their mind. The essence of teaching is to make learning contagious, to have one idea spark another. –Marva Collin

Forest Shares His Marvelous Me Book!

Forest:

That’s a picture of me outside. T: And how old are you? Forest: 5. T: And how many people are in your family? Daddy, mommy, Maren, Elio, Fitzy, me!

That is a picture of my house.

That’s a picture of Maren holding me when I was a baby. That’s me when I was eating when I was a baby.

That’s when we were at a picnic and I was playing with instruments. That’s me when it was Easter. That’s me looking in the mirror. That’s me and mommy and that’s our family at California. T: Why were you in California? Forest: That used to be our old house. That’s a picture of me with my sunshine jacket on.

That’s a shooting kite. That’s us sitting in the colorful chairs. That’s us at the flower place where you get flowers. That’s me swimming.

So, Fitzy was there and that’s my family. Elio was born. T: You look so proud to be a big brother. Forest: That’s just when we were having a fun time. We were at the water.

T: Who are these people? Forest: That’s Bubbles and that’s Nona. T: Why do you call him Bubbles? Forest: He is my grandpa. That’s me at the beach. That’s a picture of my family. T: Who got married? Forest: Aunt Lindsey. That’s me with my scary pumpkin. And that’s when I was at the corn maze. That’s me hugging a tree. That’s me building a snow man. I know how to play the harmonica.

Look at me! T: What are you wearing? Forest: I don’t know. T: That’s a leigh! Where were you? Forest: I was in Hawaii.

That is me at my old school. That is me at my birthday and I was blowing out my candles when I turned 4. That’s me on the trampoline. That is Mrs. Burns. Do you know her? T: Yes, I do! That is Mrs. E. Forest: You have met her before. That’s Maren at her ballet school. I like that picture.

That’s us on the boat. That’s when we were swimming. That’s me and daddy swimming and that’s me and Maren hugging. This is me wearing a costume at the library. And that’s us playing at our house. That’s me on the 4th of July at a parade. T: Is this you on the first day of school? Forest: Yeah!

Troy: Um, I like the boat and the Choo choo. Because I do love trains. Cargo trains are my favorite.

Cian: I like when you surprised your baby.

Alex: I liked the picture when you surprised Elio.

Naomi: I like the picture when you surprised Elio.
